Regular cleaning helps maintain fresh water flow, quiet performance, and long-term reliability.
Daily
- Check the water level.
- Refill with fresh drinking water as needed.
- Remove visible hair, dust, or food particles.
- Make sure the pump remains fully submerged while operating.
Weekly
- Unplug the fountain before cleaning.
- Disassemble removable parts.
- Wash components with warm water and mild dish soap.
- Rinse thoroughly to remove soap residue.
- Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth.
- Allow parts to dry before reassembly.
Pump care
- Clean the pump regularly to help maintain quiet operation.
- Remove hair or debris from the pump intake.
- Do not run the pump without water.
- If water flow decreases, clean the pump and check for blockages.
Filter guidance
- Rinse the filter before first use if applicable.
- Replace the filter regularly based on usage and water quality.
- Replace more often in multi-pet homes or if water becomes cloudy.
- Always use compatible replacement filters.
